The Minnesota Impala Club was created in August 1998 from a group of Chevrolet Impala enthusiast's who are members of the National Impala Association (NIA) that live in Minnesota. The NIA, with their headquarters in Spearfish, South Dakota, was conceived in early 1980 and began as an association with 1958-1964 full-size Chevrolet enthusiasts and later included the 1965-1970 models.  The MIC is an approved local chapter of the N.I.A.
